    I’ve got to say, even though I’ve got a raging Asian fetish (which, consequently, caused me to run around Cologne during this summer, with a glorious boner, trying to hook up with all the Japanese, Chinese, Korean and other Asian babes who were there for “language learning”…that’s an euphemism for fucking, right?), I too feel that the shit is, indeed on.

    The guy may be acting like an ass about it, but I kinda have to agree with him. Nine times out of ten it’s a complete fail when an American girl tries to cosplay. For one the costumes generally suck. Two they don’t have the body for it. In Japan, anime is seen as a normal part of daily TV consumption, the way we watch sitcoms, so it draws a more normal crowd, including hot chicks that become cosplaying fans. In the US it’s a subculture that tends to draw females that should never leave their caves.

    Also, the dumbass explained it best at 1:00. Anime characters may have Western eyes and hair colors / fashions, but their body types are based on Asian females. You really can’t expect a white woman to fit the same frame. Also, on the flip side, it’s not too often you find an Asian chick that’s not flat as a board on both sides. I can attest to that from first hand experience. I’m living in a predominantly Chinese country right now.

    You have to wonder what prompted him to make this video though. I get the feeling he has penis envy. Maybe his hot Asian chick dropped him for a white guy. Or maybe he’s really railing against the fact that we blew two of their cities up and is trying to find a way to retaliate.

    Also, some of these so called Western females he pointed out seem to be guys in cosplay drag to me.

    And yes, he may have a point, but I bet if we tried “cosplaying” western-style animated characters the reverse pattern would appear. It’s basically the expected pattern, and his argument becomes silly. Asian animation better imitates Asian people, therefore Asian people better imitate Asian animation. He probably mis-read something and thought it said that western girls are better cosplayers and then completely overreacted.

    I refuse to do any research to confirm or deny, though. I’m far too lazy and need to go get groceries.
